MAPPING THE WAY TOWARDS
HEALTHY AND STABLE COMMUNITIES
The application is organized into three county-specific tabs
for Sarasota County, Manatee County, and the Venice/North Port area.
The point features are symbolized using distinct colors
to differentiate organizations by county.
Each county tab displays a list
of service categories that users
can select by clicking a checkbox.
Categories include Abuse, Children's Services, Education & Literacy, Employment, Food Assistance, Legal Services, Medical Services, Senior Services and more.
Selecting an organization’s map point
opens a detailed pop-up containing information about the organization.
Additional functionalities include turning all layers on/off
and zooming to selected
service categories on the map.
The application provides an efficient
GIS-based resource for identifying and accessing community services throughout the region.
