DESIGN-FOCUSED MAPPING
AND VISUALIZATION
Built upon a watercolor basemap,
the application features a hand-painted watercolor palette complemented by handwriting-style typography.
It also includes artistically rendered
map features such as building footprints, roadways, natural areas, and waterways.
The side panel of the application
displays a gallery of thumbnail images extracted from the original design plans.
Selecting an image initiates the map
to zoom to the project location.
Clicking the ‘View Info’ button leads to
a dedicated web page which includes additional information about
the selected project.
The application serves as an effective storytelling tool that documents decades
of community planning and public engagement efforts throughout
South Florida and the Treasure Coast.
