DESIGN-FOCUSED MAPPING
AND VISUALIZATION
Built upon a watercolor basemap,
the application features a hand-painted watercolor palette complemented by handwriting-style typography. It also includes artistically rendered map features such as building footprints, roadways, natural areas, and waterways.
Selecting a red project pin on the map opens a pop-up containing the project name, completion date, and thumbnail image extracted from the original design plan. Each thumbnail is hyperlinked to a dedicated webpage which includes additional information about the selected project.
The application serves as an effective storytelling tool that documents decades
of community planning and public engagement efforts throughout
South Florida and the Treasure Coast.
